SEARCY, Ark. (KTHV) -- Walmart
is hiring approximately 90 associates to work at the new Searcy Walmart
Neighborhood Market. To facilitate applications, the retailer will open
a temporary hiring center at 1560 W. Beebe Capps Expressway, Suite A,
in Searcy.
The hiring center began accepting applications
Monday, Dec. 3, and will continue accepting applications from 8 a.m. to 6
p.m., Monday-Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Interested applicants
can also apply online at http://careers.walmart.com.
According
to store manager Keith Breckenridge, the store will be hiring both
full- and part-time associates to work in all areas of the store,
including supervisory positions. "We are excited to bring additional
jobs with career opportunities to the area," he said. Breckenridge began
his Walmart career in 1986 as a shoe department manager at a store in
Little Rock.
Walmart's benefit program is available to eligible
full- and part-time associates and provides a variety of affordable
health and well-being benefits including health-care coverage with no
lifetime maximum. Walmart also offers eligible associates matching
401(k) contributions of up to 6 percent of pay, discounts on general
merchandise, an Associate Stock Purchase Program and company-paid life
insurance. Additionally, eligible associates receive a quarterly
incentive based on store performance.
The majority of associates will begin work in December to help prepare the store for its grand opening early next year.
