LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Christmas came a few days early for more than a dozen families in North Little Rock.

The North little Rock Police Department teamed up with the DJs from Power 92 Radio for their annual Season of Giving. They delivered gifts to single parent families, many of which were nominated through Power 92's web site.

Brandee Carter, 6, and her sister said they were excited to see Officer Tommy Norman walk up with a bag full of gifts.

"He came up here and gave my gift for Christmas!" said Carter.

It was a big day for their mom, Whitney Davis, as well.

"Oh I was just overwhelmed. I was nervous, I was excited. My kids were excited. It was just wonderful," she said. She wanted to thank everyone who helped make this special Christmas gift possible, especially Officer Tommy Norman.

"It's a wonderful day to give back and something the North Little Rock police department takes a lot of pride in," explained Norman."It's just something we get real excited about. Right on the heels of Shop with a Cop, the giving doesn't stop with that."

The Season of Giving program has grown a lot over the years. In 2006, they were able to help out seven families, and this year, they were able to help 15.

The toys were made possible through donations from the kids at North Little Rock Catholic Academy, Immaculate Conception School, and the ladies over at the Junior League of Little Rock.
