LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Twenty-six crosses were placed at the Mock Cemetery at the corner of Martin Luther King and Daisy Bates Streets in Little Rock, Ark. in memorial for the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary Thursday.

On hand were local church officials who held a moment of silence after the crosses were placed.

Earnest Franklin from stop the violence said they wanted to reach out to Newtown community during their unthinkable hardship.

"We find many children being gunned down during Christmas time... Put down the guns and let's put up God," he said.
