Jonesboro police say more fake cash surfaces

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Jonesboro police say fake $10 and $20 bills are continuing to circulate in the city.
 
Officials say several retailers and a city office reported getting fake money this week.
 
The Jonesboro Sun reports that Jonesboro's electric and water utility report that a customer used three fake $20 bills to pay a bill Tuesday. The currency was found to be fake by Liberty Bank employees. Two of the bills had the same serial number.
 
Police say someone passed a counterfeit $20 bill to buy food at a McDonald's restaurant and that the bill had the same serial number as one passed at City Water and Light.
 
Also, a counterfeit $10 bill was discovered by Integrity Bank employees.
 
Also, two fake $20s were passed at a Walmart store on Dec. 5.
