Little Rock, Ark. (KTHV) Perhaps the perfect weather for it, Creative Image Ice offered ice sculpting demonstrations Sunday in the River Market.
Students from Pulaski Tech along with others gathered near the Arvest on Ice rink to learn the craft. Executive Chef Clyde Aaron says as with most things, there's a science to sculpting.
"We had all of this ice about before 8 this morning. It has to temper because if you try to cut the ice and it's still below 32 degrees below freezing it's going to crack," says Aaron.
Aaron says at one time, he competed in regional competitions, but says he now concentrates on making sculptures for folks here locally.
