MAGNOLIA, Ark. (AP) - Columbia County authorities have released the name of a deputy sheriff who shot and killed a McNeil man.

Sheriff Mike Loe told The Banner-News (http://bit.ly/W54FeQ ) that Deputy Koby Schmittou shot 60-year-old Larry Pace after Pace pulled a knife on the deputy. Loe says Schmittou is on paid administrative leave pending an Arkansas State Police investigation of the shooting.
