NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (NLRED) North Little Rock Electric has restored power to more than 19,000 customers since the Christmas winter storm began, using multiple crews and contractors. Power has been restored to over 99% of NLRED's customers as of 4 p.m. Saturday. While we are in the final phase of the power restoration process, it has proven time-consuming. The damage to infrastructure has required tree trimming, extensive removal of large mature trees and the rebuilding of utility poles and power lines. Crews will continue to work to restore power as quickly as possible.
Home owners who have had their service loop to their home damaged need to contact an electrician to make repairs before NLRED can restore power. NLRED asked that customers leave their porch lights on so crews can quickly determine if power is restored and make sure backyard gates can be easily accessed to repair damage.
