Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Chandler Catanzaro hit a 37-yard field goal as
time expired as No. 14 Clemson Tigers took a thrilling 25-24 win over
ninth-ranked LSU Tigers in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
Tajh Boyd guided Clemson (11-2) to three scoring drives in the fourth quarter,
including a 10-play, 60 yard drive with 1:39 left in the game. He went 35-
for-49 with 339 yards and two scores in the contest.
DeAndre Hopkins had both touchdown catches and gained 190 yards on 13 catches,
including a 26-yard reception on 4th-and-16 on the game-winning drive as
Clemson moved to 17-18 in bowl matchups.
Jeremy Hill had touchdown runs in the first minute of the first and third
quarter and totaled 125 yards on 12 carries for LSU (10-3), which has lost its
past two postseason games, falling to Alabama in the BCS Title game last
season.
Zach Mettenberger was 14-for-23 for 109 yards, one touchdown and one
interception in the loss for LSU, which fell to 22-21-1 in postseason
contests.
