LAS VEGAS, NV (CNN) -- An airplane caught fire after a rough landing forced it to skid off a runway at the north Las Vegas airport.

A fire crew had to run in and try to contain the fire.

In the video, the plane was doused with a purple foam to put out the flames.

It was a small plane and there were only two people on board.
They were able to get out of the cabin before it was consumed by the fire.
