JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) -- City leaders in Jacksonville met Thursday night to discuss cleanup efforts after the storm.

Mayor Gary Fletcher said he believes the process will take several months.

"We've actually got two problems. We've got the problem of debris that is actually on the ground and getting it all collected and gathered, but we've also got a lot of them where the limbs are broken and just hanging. So, we've got to be able to go back and get that as well. It's going to be an extensive cleanup, said Fletcher.

Fletcher said the public works department worked quickly before the storm to salt the roads. He added that they've been working long hours to get garbage pickup back on schedule.
