CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - Jury Selection is scheduled to begin next week in Faulkner County for the trial of Richard Conte, who is charged with two counts of capital murder in the death of two men at a home in Conway.
Carter Elliot, 48, and Timothy Robinson, 25, were found dead in May 2002 in an upscale Conway neighborhood. Police have been investigating Conte as a suspect since about a month after the murders.
He had kidnapped his ex-wife, who was also Elliot's ex-wife, in Seattle at that time.
When police searched his computer during investigation, they found a map of Conway on it.
Conte served nine years for the kidnapping in a Nevada jail.
As of last October, he has been under house arrest and under the care of his mother in Wisconsin.
Jury selection starts Thursday, Jan. 10; the trial is set for Jan. 15.
