LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A returning Arkansas son received The Legion of Merit, the military's sixth highest honor, on Friday in Little Rock.
Lt. Col. Ervin Clark Jr. spent the last 23 years in combat as well as working for US Army in Military intelligence.
Gov. Mike Beebe and Tuskegee Airman Milton Crenchaw were at the ceremony to recognize Clark and his dedication to serving our country. Beebe spoke about the sacrifices it takes from many people for one person to make such a difference. That's something Clark spoke about as well.
"Everything you do is a result of the sacrifices of the family and friends around you," Clark said. "This is an achievement for Arkansas."
The award recognizes is overall service excellence.
