    5 things to do in Arkansas this weekend

    (UNDATED) KTHV -- THV 11 is always working to make your life easier, so we've compiled a list of five things to do this weekend in Arkansas.

    #1. Monster Jam: Starring the biggest performers on four wheels, numerous twelve-feet-tall, 10-thousand-pound machines race and rip up a custom-designed tracks full of obstacles. There will be two shows; Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. Tickets vary in price.

    #2. Live racing at Oaklawn: After being closed several days due to storms, racing has started again at Oaklawn Park. This weekend the park is expecting a huge turnout with first post at 1:30 p.m. Friday and Sunday and 1:00 on Saturday. This is the 109th live racing season at Oaklawn. If you can't make it out this weekend, racing will continue through April 13th.

    #3. Central Arkansas Roller Derby: It's all about girl power this weekend, all while helping a good cause in Arkansas.
    Central Arkansas Roller Derby's Rock-n-Renegades will skate with kids in mind Saturday night at Skate World in Little Rock. A portion of the money raised benefits Camp Quality, a summer camping experience and year-round support program for children with cancer. The event is $10 for adults. Kids 10 & under get in free.

    #4. Ladies Hike: Girls, get out your tennis shoes and join a Park Interpreter for a ladies ONLY hike on Pinnacle Mountain at 10 a.m. Sunday. The hike starts at the West Summit trailhead. This is a challenging hike because of the length of almost three miles and the incline so be sure to dress accordingly for the elements and bring water for the trek. It's free and open to all ages.

    #5. Bridal Show: The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Bridal Show will be held from 12:30-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. In its 17th year, the show's 200 vendor booths help brides-to-be and their fiances plan their weddings from start to finish. This show is the largest in Arkansas and has an estimated 3,000 in attendance..
