Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has raised more than $410,000 in the final months of last year in his bid for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination.
McDaniel on Tuesday reported raising more than $386,000 for the primary election and $24,500 for a potential primary runoff. He has more than $1 million cash on hand for his 2014 campaign.
McDaniel is the only announced Democratic candidate for governor. He has faced questions about the future of his campaign after admitting in late December to an extramarital relationship with a Hot Springs attorney. He has said he has no plans to drop out of the race.
Former Congressman Asa Hutchinson said earlier this month that he'll run for the Republican gubernatorial nomination, but has not started raising money for his bid.
