BALD KNOB, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say a 37-year-old man was struck and killed by a truck that lost control on an icy road in north Arkansas.
Authorities say Delbert Brooks of Bald Knob had pulled over to the shoulder of U.S. 67 in White County on Tuesday afternoon and was standing outside of his vehicle at the time of the collision. A preliminary report says Brooks was struck by a vehicle that crossed the median and drove onto the shoulder.
State police did not indicate why Brooks had pulled over to the side of the road. Authorities say the highway was slick and icy at the time of the collision.
