LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Friday morning marked DC McGehee's first day back on Alice 107.7's "Heather & DC Show."
DC's return follows a "disappearance" back in December that started when he didn't show up for work one day. This led officials on an extensive all-day search around his Cabot home. Officers used a helicopter, tracking dog, dive team, and many searchers to look for him.
At about 8 p.m. the same evening, DC appeared at his home and said he had been sleeping in a safe room in his attic.
DC's response to extensive search
On Friday's morning show, DC joined Heather and Poolboy and even described what played out before and during his absence from the show.
DC said that he had a "complete life meltdown." He said, "For the last 10 years I've been battling several issues that I didn't even know that I had. ...The main culprit is alcoholism." He goes on to say that he was diagnosed as having adult ADHD and being slightly bipolar.
