BRYANT, Ark. (KTHV) -- Bryant's mayor held a focus group Monday to talk about the apartment moratorium, or a waiting period.
The city council is working to outline standards for multi-family housing in Bryant. Residents from Westpoint, Midtown and Stoney Brook took part in the meeting at Courtyard Cottages.
Mayor Jill Dabbs said there has been concern about new development in the city.
"The number one concern for many of these residents is protecting their quality of life, protecting their property values, the connectivity of our streets and our infrastructure and the burden that additional development will put on that," she said. There is also concern about the future stress on the school.
She added that their goal is to protect that asset so families will still want to move to Bryant.
