LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - If you want to redecorate your child's room, there are some things you need to consider.
Jennifer Heuitt, an expert in designing children's rooms, owns a business called "House to Home," and she said that sometimes we forget to consider our children's personalities when designing. Sometimes we want our kids' rooms to look how we want it and not how they want it.
My client McKinley said her favorite color was orange, so we used orange fabric for the bedding, and then added bright-colored art. We also provided a sitting area with a desk, so she can do her homework.
In her brother's room, we put his name up in lights above his bed to make him feel important, and we painted one of his walls navy blue to give it a nice, masculine feel while painting the other walls white.
We wound up creating two great rooms that are stylish and provide a living space for each of these children to grow up in without having to change everything.
Just keep in mind that you should consider what your kids want; you can take their ideas and make something stylish that you can both agree on.
