LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Tornadoes are a very dangerous situation to be in, and knowing what to do in the event of such a storm can mean the difference.
When a tornado warning is in effect, anyone in its path should seek immediate shelter. Good places to go are preferably in a basement or an interior first-floor room or hallway.
You should avoid windows and seek extra protection by getting under large, solid piece of furniture such as a desk or mattress.
If you are in a vehicle or mobile home, find alternate shelter immediately preferably in a low-lying ditch or other low ground and wait for the storm to pass.
