1. Soldier with new arms determined to be independent
Brendan Marrocco, who lost all four limbs while serving in Iraq, insisted on rolling his own wheelchair into a news conference using his new transplanted arms. These little actions demonstrate how far he's come only six weeks after getting a double-arm transplant.
2. Kid President gives a pep talk
Kid President is part of a weekly feature on a website called Soul Pancake that's sponsored by actor, Rainn Wilson of The Office. If this kid really is the voice of a generation-- as he calls himself-- we've got a lot to look forward to. The pep talk has garnered more than 3 million views in five days.
3. Mo Rocca talks interior design
It is Media Day at the Super Bowl, and reporters from around the world got to question players from both conference winners today in the Superdome. A lot of non-sports reporters were involved and things tended to border on the bizarre. Satirical journalist Mo Rocca asked 49ers tight end Vernon Davis for interior decorating advice.
