LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- In 1969, a special edition of Alice in Wonderland was printed with incredible art from Salvador Dali.
According to the William Bennett Gallery, the illustrations have caused this edition of the book to become one of the rarest and most sought-after Dali suites.
The gallery says the original gouaches were published by Maecenas Press-Random House, New York. There are 12 heliogravures, one for each chapter of the book, and comes with one original signed etching in four colors as the frontpiece.
The gallery says, "This collaboration brings together arguably two of the most creative minds in Western culture, as both are considered ultimate explorers of dreams and imagination."
