LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The 12th Street Corridor is a major focus of revitalization.
Neighbors met to talk about their community's progress at the Willie Hinton Neighborhood Center Thursday. They discussed what their goals and needs are should the project move forward.
The project started back in 2008, and City Director Ken Richardson said they're excited about the future.
"The biggest thing we're going to talk about tonight is the re-surfacing and re-stripping of 12th Street. We're going from 4 lanes to 2 lanes and adding a bike lane," he explained.
Some of the other projects seeing progress are the BCD Empowerment Center, Children's Library and the future 12th Street Police Station.
Richardson said for the most part, residents in the area are happy with the changes so far and are excited about the future.
