BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - A report recently released shows 90 percent of Arkansas' 911 centers are now using Smart911. That's according to Save Mobile Safety.
"It can give us the information you want us to have in the case you're not able to give that over the phone," said Captain Scotty Hodges with the Benton Police Department.
Captain Hodges said Smart911 is a database where Arkansans can store information vital for law enforcement should an emergency arise.
"Maybe your house isn't't very noticeable from the road," said Captain Hodges.
Residents can list allergies, the number of people in their households and even store pictures of their children, which could prove to be vital for law enforcement should their children go missing.
"We can't access it at any time until you call 9-1-1," said Captain Hodges.
Arkansas' law enforcement encourages all residents to sign up.
