CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) -- Outside the Valley Baptist Church, sheriff's deputies made sure traffic ran smoothly along Highway 36.
"There are several hundred cars here. Several hundred law enforcement officers across the nation have shown up. It's going to be one of the largest processionals I've ever been involved in," said Lt. Brandon Grimes with the White County Sheriff's Department.
On top of the large number of officers, Patriot Guard riders lined the church driveway and led officer McGary's body to his final resting place.
"I wouldn't do anything else. I'll do it till I die," said Doug Odom, a Patriot Guard Rider.
The procession escorted Officer Will McGary from Valley Baptist Church to Romance, which is 22 miles west, where he was laid to rest.
Lieutenant Brandon Grimes with the White County Sheriff's department said the support for Officer McGary is unbelievable.
"Anytime a police officer dies, the whole community, other law enforcement officers takes a hit and feels that," explained Grimes. "So, it's just an honor for us to kind of give back and be a part of this."
Included in that processional was the Baptist Flight Crew that initially transported Officer McGary from Conway to Little Rock.
