LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- You may have noticed that THV 11 has done a lot of stories on people with disabilities, and part of that is because of Pam Baccam's passion in covering these topics.

Tuesday, the "Arkansas Can Do" Coalition presented her with the Mardi Gras Award. It stands for "Media Awareness on Reporting Disability Issues, Grade on Reporting with Accuracy and Sensitivity."

The award ceremony was decked out in the Mardi Gras theme, including beads and music.

Attendees also watched snippets of Pam's stories within the last year.

Congratulations, Pam!
