LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Little Rock police called out the SWAT team Wednesday morning to help apprehend a suspect.

Around 2:30 a.m. police tried to pull over a Dodge Magnum with temporary tags near 12th Street and Rodney Parham Road when the driver refused to stop.

The driver drove to 2000 Reservoir, the Warren House apartments, and ran into an apartment in a back building.

Police then commanded that the suspect come out of the apartment. At this time a woman and two small children left the apartment.

Officers found a handgun and narcotics inside the Dodge Magnum abandoned by the suspect. SWAT team negotiators were called out, and at 5:30 a.m. SWAT officers got into the apartment and took Jason Jackson, 25, into custody. Police believe Jackson is on parole, but don't know the charge.

His potential charges are fleeing, possession of narcotics, and possession by certain persons.
