CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) -- Two women in northwest Arkansas are recovering in the hospital after driving off a cliff in Crawford County.
The Sheriff's Office said the pickup truck lost control while navigating a curve on road north of Alma. The truck went airborne, landing on its side, 30 to 40 feet down.
Eyewitness Jeremy Gregory said it took more than an hour to get the women out of the truck.
Crews blocked off the road while a team worked to pull the truck out. Paramedics had to take the women to the hospital by helicopter.
Detectives are not sure about their injuries, but expect them to survive.
