NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- North Little Rock is looking to make your drive a little smoother.
The city has $500,000 for an overlay program to resurface city streets. Right now, city workers are surveying each street to determine which ones need repaving the most.
Mike Smith, the chief city engineer, said with the funds available they can repave about 17 blocks per ward.
"We'll take that list we come up with of our top streets, and we will whittle that down to 17 blocks per ward. We will submit that to the council for our recommendation," he said.
Smith said they'll start taking bids March 14 and hope to have the survey done within the next six weeks. Once the city council approves the list and contractor, they'll begin re-surfacing.
