McCRORY, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say a pickup truck driving in Woodruff County struck two people who were walking on the road, killing one and injuring the other.
State police say the collision happened Thursday night on a county road in McCrory. A preliminary report says 36-year-old Stephanie Morgan and 36-year-old Marcus Morgan were walking against traffic in the southbound lane when they were struck by an oncoming truck.
Police say Stephanie Morgan was pronounced dead at the scene. Marcus Morgan was taken to White County Medical Center.
Police say the truck's driver wasn't injured.
