LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Here are some stories that have been trending around the web!

Dennis Rodman: I'm goin' to meet the Pope!

There are several big stories in headlines today. There was NFL free agency, another image of James Holmes in court, and obviously the big talker is the Pope. So, why is our first trending story about Dennis Rodman again?

Basketball Hall of Famer and self-appointed foreign relations consultant Dennis Rodman is bringing his message of peace to Vatican City.

He told entertainment website TMZ he's trying to arrange a sit-down meeting with the next pope. Rodman recently returned from a trip to North Korea where he became friends with leader Kim Jong Un.

CNN confirmed the former NBA bad boy is en route to Rome. Rodman's plane is expected to arrive in Italy late tonight.

Heroic group effort to save boy from drowning

A 12-year-old boy said he thought he was going to die after getting caught off guard by strong waves in New Zealand.

The 12-year-old had been playing at the water's edge with a friend when a wave caught him and dragged him under. He was dragged nearly 500 feet along the beach while fighting for air, and a police officer that jumped in to save him started to go under too.

People on the beach formed a human chain to save the boy and his rescuer from the water.

The whole thing lasted about 8 minutes.

Phillies introduce Hooters ball girls

As spring nears, that usually means one thing-It's time for baseball.

Normally with any sport, crowds at preseason games are not near as big as the regular season, so to draw a bigger crowd this year, the Philadelphia Phillies decided to change bat boys and ball boys to Hooters Girls.

However the hooters ball girl didn't real pay attention to the rules. After hitting a fair ball, the girl fields it with her glove and proceeds to give it to a young fan in the stands. Immediately she was informed of her mistake and buried her head in her glove.

This is actually the second time in a week this has happened with one of the new Phillies ball girls.

Oh well, it's just spring training. Let's go eat some hot wings.

Celebration gone wrong!

Alright we will give you one more bonus trending story.

Normally, when you win a big football game, teams celebrate by dousing their head coach in a Gatorade bath, but that doesn't really work in basketball. And, unfortunately for this coach of a small town college in Nebraska, he had to find out the hard way.

The team won the title game, and the coach went down face first in a puddle of Gatorade. Then a guy came to help and fell as well.

If you laughed at the video, don't feel bad. The coach is fine and the video has actually pulled more attention to the program.
