PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office is trying to crack a cold case.
Lt. Carl Minden told THV 11 News that Herman Hill and Alexis Crawford were found dead in Hill's home on 7208 Reed Road on May 6. Since then, officers have not been able to find the person or persons responsible for their deaths.
"When it comes down to it, there's really only one or two people that know what happened, depending on how many people were involved in this," said Lt. Minden.
With information running dry, Pulaski County Sheriff's detectives are trying to pinpoint the final moments of Herman Hill and his pregnant girl friend Alexis Crawford. Someone killed them in a trailer on Reed Road in the Crystal Hill Neighborhood. Crawford's two-year-old son was the only one to witness the crime.
"It was mid afternoon. It was a time that people would be out. It wasn't in the middle of the night. It was late afternoon," said Lt. Minden.
Detectives believe the intruder kicked the door in. They found Hill just inside and Crawford in a bedroom. Authorities know the cause of death, but are holding that information for the integrity of the investigation. Now they look for leads in any direction.
"That's what we're hoping. There's a good chance that somebody was walking by, driving by. I don't think it happened at an odd hour," said Lt. Minden.
