WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - The Washington County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man in connection with the 2011 death of his six-month-old son and in the 2013 death of a seven-month-old.
Kelly Cantrell with the sheriff's office said Travis Fox, 24, of Springdale, was arrested Thursday in the death of two of his children-one on Sept. 4, 2011 and one on Mar. 13, 2013.
Cantrell said in 2011, the Medical Examiner's office found the six-month-old's death in West Fork suspicious, but investigators did not have any conclusive evidence to arrest Fox. Washington County detectives questioned Fox regarding the 2011 death in West Fork. Cantrell said he admitted that he shook his six-month-old child for 30 to 45 seconds because he was "fussing."
Fox was arrested for first-degree murder. He is being held without bond.
