PLEASANT PLAINS, Ark. (AP) - Prosecutors say a Pleasant Plains man won't be charged in the shooting death of his brother.

The Independence County Sheriff's Department says a review found that 51-year-old Randy Martin was acting in self defense when he fatally shot his brother, 55-year-old David Martin, on March 11.

Police say David Martin was found dead at the front door of his brother's home in Pleasant Plains. Officers say David Martin died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Jonesboro television station KAIT reports that Randy Martin was arrested on the day of the shooting but has since been released. Authorities say no charges will be brought against him.
