LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A teacher at Robinson High School is placed on administrative leave after officials learned of allegations between the teacher and a student.
On Wednesday, the teacher was put on leave pending the outcome of investigation, which includes claims of 'inappropriate behavior.' The Pulaski County Special School District said this action was taken to protect both the student and the staff member until the situation is fully resolved.
The School District said it is investigating the situation fully, but will not release further information as this is a personnel issue and the student involved is a minor.
An incident report from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office states that parents found 'several text messages and inappropriate digital images' on their son's cell phone. The Executive Director of Communication with the school district confirmed to investigators that the phone number connected to those messages is that of a teacher at Robinson.
Lt. Carl Minden with the PCSO said the teacher has not been arrested but the agency and school district are working together to investigate the situation.
