LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A jury has decided a man charged with a 1997 murder is not guilty.
Cedrick Simpson was arrested two years ago and charged with capital murder in the 1997 robbery, which turned into the shooting death of Kevin Bearden. Fifteen years ago Bearden was the assistant manager at Harvest Foods.
The trial lasted three days. Prosecutors were seeking life in prison.
