EL DORADO, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas attorney general's office says a Union County man has been sentenced to 60 years in prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.
Attorney General Dustin McDaniel says 56-year-old George Allen Haile of El Dorado pleaded guilty last week to six counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
Union County Circuit Court Judge Hamilton Singleton sentenced Haile to 10 years on each count - and ordered that the sentences be served consecutively.
Authorities say investigators with the attorney general's cyber crimes unit executed a search warrant last fall at Haile's house, where they seized a laptop computer that allegedly contained multiple images of child pornography.
