BRISCOE, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says westbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Briscoe will be closed for several hours to clean up debris from an accident.
The AHTD says a tractor-trailer rig that overturned Tuesday spilled grain onto the interstate. The agency says the roadway is clear - but additional cleanup is needed along the shoulder of the interstate and the nearby slope.
Westbound lanes of I-40 will be closed from 6 a.m. until 9 a.m. Wednesday between the 203 and 202 mile markers near Briscoe.
Westbound traffic will be detoured at Exit 202 onto U.S. Highway 70 and will be allowed back onto the interstate at Brinkley.
