LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The family of a man killed in a home invasion will get $1 million dollars from the state.
The Legislative Joint Budget Committee approved that amount in Maurice Beau Clark's murder.
In 2009, four teens broke into Clark's home, robbed him, and shot him to death; one of them was 16-year-old Antonio Terry, who was charged as an adult.
In the course of Terry's trial, prosecutors learned that DHS released him from juvenile detention two months earlier, despite objections from several staff members and Terry's own mother.
Terry is serving 65 years in prison.
