JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A plan to impress a girl backfired earlier this week. Police said a man staged an attack to impress his date, and the woman, who was the center of his charm, decided to talk about her experience on camera.
Brianne Coots told Region 8 News that when her friend insisted they meet up in person to talk, she didn't think much of it. While going for a walk with him Saturday in Jonesboro, a man wearing all black with a knife jumped out of the woods.
"You buy people flowers. You don't stage a fake rape attack scene," she said.
Coots said this whole situation could have been a lot worse, but she feels the humiliation was good enough punishment to fit the crime.
