Craighead deputy shoots man during traffic stop

    JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - A Craighead County sheriff's deputy has shot and wounded a man during a traffic stop.
    The 6:30 p.m. Saturday incident occurred on a county road near the entrance to the Holy Angles Convent.
    Sheriff Marty Boyd provided few details, other than to say the deputy fired his weapon at a point during the traffic stop.
    Names of the man shot and the deputy were not released and authorities didn't provide a condition on the motorist. The deputy wasn't hurt.
