LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Gov. Beebe is kicking off a unique art display in North Little Rock today.

The Rogers Photo Archive of North Little Rock has partnered with the Argenta Arts Foundation to host "JFK: 50 Years Later," an archival photography exhibition to be held March 25-30 in North Little Rock's Argenta Arts District.

Gov. Mike Beebe is serving as honorary chair of the exhibition, and he kicks things off today at noon by reading the JFK inaugural address from the steps of the Argenta Post Office/Library.

The exhibition, which includes photos that have never or rarely been seen, focuses on various aspects of the life and times of the 35th U.S. President.

Eight North Little Rock galleries and restaurants will serve as hosts of the approximately 120 images, including family, early years in politics, critical issues and images of the times, and his Presidency.

Thanks to the generosity of event sponsors, the exhibit is free, while special ticketed events will raise money for the Argenta Arts Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission to provide arts and cultural experiences for the people of Arkansas, as well as the NLR Moonshot Project, a community initiative to increase college attainment levels through the arts, education and economic development.

The Rogers Photo Archives has compiled 30 of the most iconic and rare images into a limited-edition portfolio now available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit the Argenta Arts Foundation and the NLR Moonshot Project.

    For more information, visit www.argentaartsdistrict.org.

.Joining us this morning with details are John Gaudin, chairman of the Board for the Argenta Arts Foundation and John Rogers, who's photo archive made this exhibit possible.
