CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - The Biology Department's Ornithology class will search for oiled birds (and other wildlife) in the Lake Conway - Bell Slough area Tuesday.

Students and other volunteers will meet for a briefing at 2:30 p.m. in Room 025 of the Lewis Science Center. Students and other volunteers will then car pool to the area for the afternoon's search.

This is not an officially-sanctioned oiled bird rescue effort. The class will scout for distressed birds around Lake Conway, and then collect location information to forward to state wildlife officials and/or HAWK. Students do not have a permit to collect or transport birds.
