SEARCY, Ark. (KTHV) -- At approximately 11:54 a.m. Friday, an inmate tried to escape while in hospital care.
According to public information officer Bill Higginbotham, Brandon Uriah Terrell, 25, of Searcy, tried to escape while being treated at the White County Medical Center emergency room.
Higginbotham said Terrell had gone into the restroom, blocked the door, and made his way into the ceiling before falling onto the nurses' desk in the emergency room.
Terrell had initially been arrested for a failure to appear warrant out of Kensett and a 9-day commitment and a contempt of court warrant from McRae. He was being held in lieu of $1,790 cash bond and $1520 cash bond for his offense in Kensett and McRae respectively.
White County Sheriff's Deputies have added another charge of Third-Degree Escape, which is a Class A Misdemeanor, with a $1000.00 cash bond.
