LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Representatives from more than 40 central Arkansas organizations gathered on the steps of Little Rock city hall Tuesday for a special day of recognition.
"With all of the volunteers that work so hard to make our lives better and to make our citizen's lives better, let's hear for the volunteers!" Little Rock Mayor Mike Stodola exclaimed.
The mayor thanked those who tackle issues and tough problems that help strengthen our communities.
Stodola declared the day as a "National Service Recognition Day." More than 700 mayors across the US held similar events across the country.
