LOS ANGELES, CA (CNN) -- A man accused of kidnapping a 10-year-old girl from her home in California and sexually assaulting her made his first court appearance Thursday.
Tobias Dustin Summers did not enter a plea and his arraignment was set for May 2. He faces nearly 40 criminal counts, including sexual assault and kidnapping.
Summers was captured Wednesday at a rehab center in Mexico. Authorities moved him to a jail in Los Angeles later that day.
He's held on $19 million bail. That's right, $19 million.
