LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has named a Connecticut education official as new chief financial officer.
UAMS announced Friday that William Bowes will take over as CFO on July 1. Bowes most recently was chief financial officer for the Connecticut Colleges of and State Universities Board of Regents for Higher Education.
UAMS is the state's only comprehensive academic health center. It includes colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Professions and Public Health; a graduate school; a hospital; a statewide network of regional centers; and seven institutes that focus on various medical issues.
