MONTICELLO, Ark. (KTHV) - The Desha County escapee that authorities had been looking for since the beginning of last week has been taken into police custody.

The Monticello Police Department told THV 11 News that Glen Perrian, 25, of McGehee, was taken into police custody May 12 around 11:47 a.m. after they found him hiding in the front seat of his car at Pilgrims Rest Apartments.

They said Perrian had escaped from officers while on his way to a court hearing in Arkansas City a week ago and was only found after a woman from the apartments called to report that a man was trying to break into her home.

When he came out of his car, officers told him to identify himself. He said "You know who I am" and then said his name after officers asked him to identify himself a second time.

Perrian is suspected in the armed robbery of the First National Bank of McGehee on June 20, 2010.
