HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - A jury in Garland County has found a man not guilty of capital murder for the shooting of a Malvern man.

The panel on Thursday cleared 37-year-old Detric Lavon Conway of responsibility for the 2010 slaying of 36-year-old of Jacquard Q. Clark.

The Sentinel-Record reports that Clark was fatally wounded at his girlfriend's apartment off Park Avenue.

Two other people have been charged. One was convicted of first-degree murder and trial is pending for the other.

The acquittal does not mean Conway goes free. He is serving a 36-year sentence for the armed robbery of a Glenwood pharmacy. Conway entered a guilty plea last year to the 2010 robbery.
