LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - A man in Lonoke County has been arrested for several offenses after police connected him to a copper theft case.
According to Sheriff John Staley, Nicholas Jackson, 32, of Austin is suspected of entering two new homes on Campground Road near Weber Lane and ripping around $6,400 worth of copper wire out of them, causing nearly $15,000 in damage.
Staley said Jackson was arrested and has been charged with two felony counts of breaking or entering, two felony counts theft of property, two felony counts criminal mischief, and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana. He is also a parolee on active supervision.
Jackson is being held at the Lonoke County Detention on a parole hold as well as the current charges.
