LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The University of Arkansas at Little Rock tweeted that a body had been found near the Fine Arts building earlier Friday, and police have now released his name.
Sgt. Cassandra Davis with Little Rock police said Kasey Aaron Hudson, 18, of Searcy, was found dead by a student walking to class at 10:40 a.m. around the intersection of 28th Street and Campus Drive.
Sgt. Davis said there are no obvious signs of foul play or trauma, and the medical examiner's office will have to determine the cause of death.
"The body was found near the creek. There's some clothing on the individual. We're not sure if he washed here from the storms last night," said Davis. "We'll have to make that determination as we investigate."
According to a spokesperson with UALR, Hudson was not a student at the college.
THV 11 has a crew on scene and will update you with more information as it becomes available on www.thv11.com.
